About the Event
Crowned and College Ready: A Virtual College Prep Workshop is an interactive event created to help high school students approach the college process with greater knowledge, confidence, and support. Hosted by Crowned in Confidence, this workshop will connect students with college mentors who can offer practical guidance and honest insight based on their own experiences.
During the workshop, participants will explore important parts of preparing for college, including building a college list, understanding application timelines, developing meaningful personal statements, finding financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and preparing for the academic and personal transition to college. Students will also learn strategies for staying organized throughout the application process and making college decisions that reflect their individual goals, interests, and needs.
In addition to receiving helpful information, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from current college students about their experiences applying to college, selecting a school, adjusting…
